Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) is the governing body of Football (soccer) for the Bankstown district. The Association conducts, encourages, promotes, advances, enhances and administers football throughout the district. It works closely with all stakeholders to further enhance the experience for all its members. The Association provides a number of competitions, coaching and refereeing courses as well as development programs to ensure the growth of the sport in the area.

The Association also wholly owns the Bankstown United Football Club which is the representative arm of the district. The Club has teams in the elite Football NSW competition including the Skills Acquisition Phase for players aged between 9 – 12 years, National Premier League Youth Tier 2 Competition for Players aged 13 – 16 years and in the Men’s State League Competition for Players 17 years and older. More than 75% of Players, Coaches and support staff are born and bred in the Bankstown area making the Club are true pathway between grassroot and the elite stage for members.

The Association utilises local business contacts to pursue mutually beneficially commercial arrangements with local businesses this includes sponsorship and marketing opportunities. The Association also works with all levels of government in regards to grants and facility development and maintenance.
