CBCC Annual Women in Leadership 2023 #EmbraceEquity
March 8, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Mark Coure MP
Minister for Multiculturalism and the Minister for Seniors.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. International women’s Day is powered by the collective effort of all. Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes IWD impactful. The CBCC is committed to advancing the interests of women and seeing a more equitable world.
This year the theme for IWD is #EmbraceEquity. Imagine a gender-equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
Each year we hold an event to celebrate the contributions of women in our local economy and community. Our annual Women in Leadership Event bring hundreds of women across South West Sydney and beyond. We have speakers and panelled guests that share experiences and stories and encourage women to be #getinvolved.
What can we do?
Celebrate women’s achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.
This event never disappoints, so get your tickets early and mark your calendar!

About Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce
Established in 2017 as the SWCC, and now named the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) was the first business chamber in Bankstown – decades after other chambers. It evolved from the need for an association for business owners or any entity or person engaged in commerce or trade from the Canterbury Bankstown Local Government Area (LGA) in New South Wales or anyone interested in doing businesses in our area or to invest or relocate to our LGA.
The CBCC facilitates opportunities for members to grow their business in Canterbury Bankstown and beyond, welcoming engagement from across the business community, local government, State and Federal Government alike. We believe in collaboration, diversity and the sharing of knowledge to be the formula for a more prosperous business community.
Membership is open to all. The CBCC provides members and guests opportunities to share knowledge, pitch their business, create a network, and be inspired. We do this by delivering our members a diversity of complimentary or subsidised events, services, opportunities, and partnerships – either directly, or by partnering with other organisations.
Contact us at email@example.com to enquire about membership, sponsorships, partnerships, or volunteering.
CBCC is a not-for-profit organisation run by Wally Mehanna, CEO and by volunteers.
