About

When employees return to work, whether it’s after a temporary absence, such as a medical leave or parental leave, or after a significant event like a pandemic-related shutdown, several legal rights and entitlements may come into play. It’s essential for both employers and employees to be aware of these rights and entitlements and to communicate openly to ensure a smooth transition back to work. Additionally, consulting with legal professionals or HR specialists can provide further guidance tailored to specific circumstances and jurisdictions.

Antoinette Khalil, Principal solicitor of Khalil Lawyers and Chair of the Women’s Committee for the CBCC.
